Gigi Varsakis

Hello, my name is Gigi Varsakis. I grew up in Holland and I have been coming to Skiathos in the summer since my earliest childhood years as my father has a gallery on the island. After I graduated I used to spend all summer on Skiathos, and winters in Holland. In 2005 my husband Marc Slootweg and I decided to move to Skiathos with our children permanently, as we love it for the beautiful nature, lovely climate, and excellent conditions for children to grow up here.
I have been working with the real estate agency Skiathos Property ever since. There I picked up the needs of the property owners. Many people love the idea of owning a holiday home on Skiathos, but the idea of the property being left on its own during their absence scares them. This made me create Skiathos PRopery Care, a service directed to property owners and their practical needs. We have been successfully assisting property owners in dealing with their property. In fact we are your eyes and ears on the spot.

Marc Slootsweg

My name is Marc Slootweg. I am Dutch by origin but came to love Skiathos ever since my wife, Gigi Varsakis brought me here, now 16 years ago. We decided to move to Skiathos for a lifestyle with better quality, more freedom and happiness and we are very satisfied with the outcome of our choices. I am the person who performs all the duties on the spot. I visit your property, I photograph it for you and I take care of it. I very much enjoy the diversity of my tasks, and especially in the summer the management of the rentals and the contact with the customers are stimulating for me, being a Northern European in a Greek society.
